After long and hard consideration, I am discontinuing the use of Gallery2 at Bui4Ever.com.

The slow load speeds of Gallery2 has finally become unbearable. When I was on my old crap of a host, Gallery2 took some 15+ seconds from access to full page load up. On my new host, MidPhase/Autica VPS, it takes about ~8 seconds to load up. This is entirely unacceptable to me. I’ve seen other people hosting Gallery2 sites and they load quite quickly, so I’m not sure what the problem is.

I will probably continue using Gallery2 for other web projects, but not for our personal web page. So begins the slow transition from Gallery2 to Flickr.
