Sea Bowl in Pacifica, Where Else Can You Bowl With an Ocean Front View?

Andrea and I decided to go do some bowling this past Saturday at Sea Bowl in Pacifica, CA. The place is located across from the Pacific Ocean at 4625 Coast Highway, Pacifica, CA 94044.

The Sea Bowl has plenty of parking and isn’t next door to any other businesses. When you walk in, you find the place is quite a nice bowling alley complete with a bar, great food restaurant, a decent sized arcade, and a nice 20 lane bowling alley.

The cost to bowl is $29 a hour, fortunately we had a coupon from the Entertainment book for 50% off 5 games, but since we were only interested in an hour, he gave us a 1 hour game for the price of 30 minutes. Including shoe rentals for $4, the total price came to about $22.

The lanes are nicely kept as is the sitting areas; we didn’t notice any trash or sticky floors. There were a good amount of bowling ball sizes/weights for us to choose from. The atmosphere was fun with loudness medium high (as one would expect at a bowling alley when the bowling ball makes contact with the pins.) but not so terribly loud that it would make it difficult to carry on a conversation.

sea-bowl-nacho-supreme.jpgThe food at Sea Bowl looks delicious and tastes as good as Yelp reviewers say and versus snacks that you would normally expect to get at a bowling alley (i.e. Snickers, chips, etc.). They have everything from a mountainous nachos, burgers, pizza (including whole sizes) to appetizers. We saw a group party that had ordered a few large pizzas (pepperoni, pepperoni & sausage, and combo) which looked good. Andrea and I tried the mountain of chips, salsa, guacamole, melted cheese, and shredded beef they call the Nacho Supreme; it would also have flowing sour cream, but as Andrea put it a long time ago before we started dating, “I don’t like anything white and creamy”… **Richard giggles**. They weren’t kidding when they say the Nachos Supreme serves 3-4 people. At close to $7, this isn’t your normal Nachos Supreme you would expect to get at Taco Bell; you actually get what you pay for and the meat, salsa, guacamole doesn’t come out of a sealed bag container, it’s all made fresh there! They even fry the corn chips when you order the nachos!

Bowling went great, we had a great time!
