Last night we were treated to a few guest speakers, all with interesting topics to discuss. It was quite an informative meeting. The topics discussed were Art Shows by ShutterBudd, a discussion on using Adobe Lightroom 2 as a workflow, and Canon Professional Services (CPS). Domain Mapping For WPMU That Makes Sense
Donncha’s new Domain Mapping plugin for WordPress MU is a wonderful plugin that WPMU users have long salivated for since WordPress.com introduced the feature almost a year ago. Donncha, for those who don’t know, is Automattic’s primary (translation: only) WPMU developer and is amazing at rolling features from the WordPress standalone and WordPress.com into the WPMU code base. WordPress MU Domain Mapping Plugin
Looks like my WordPress MU Domain Mapping directions are now useless. Donncha has just released version 0.3 of his Domain Mapping plugin. This should make domain mapping sooo much easier and hopefully more efficient. Thank you Donncha!
How To Write Built-In Widgets for WordPress Themes
So I’ve been writing my own WordPress themes for a long time now, from scratch, since WordPress 1.5.1 was released. I’ve learned a lot during that time and still have a lot to learn. The next biggest WordPress adventure for me is to write a bona fide plugin. But in the meantime, I figure it’s time to start giving back to the community. Please note that I’m not MySQL or PHP expert. I have no formal training and everything is self taught or learned from the kind and helpful folks at WordPress dot org and the MU Forums. The Dark Knight Was Good, Batman Begins Was Better
Last night while channel surfing, Andrea and I came across Batman Begins on TV. After having not seen it for a long time, I had forgotten how good Batman Begins really was. In fact, it’s better than the sequel, The Dark Knight. The reasons? Continue reading The Dark Knight Was Good, Batman Begins Was Better

Looking For A Way To Spice Up Your Website?
Site with text? Boring. Site with pictures? Cool. Site with video? Oooh, I’m there. Site with pictures and videos? I’m there! What better way to spice up your website by adding something really dynamic such as videos? They say pictures are worth a thousand words, but with video, you can go to ten thousand, twenty thousand, or a gabillion words! Can’t beat that. D3 Buffer Upgrade
This is a cool feature that Nikon offers, for a cost, the ability to upgrade your buffer. If 52 Large JPEGs or 16 14-bit RAW images aren’t enough buffer space for you, you can have your Nikon D3’s buffer upgraded to 119 Large JPEGs and 43 14-bit RAW images. Talk about a nice little upgrade! Nikon had offered a similar service back with the Nikon D1x upgrading its 9 Large JPEG buffer to 21 Large JPEGs. The cost for the D3 buffer upgrade? $500.
Leona Lewis is The Next Pop Diva
Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis is Andrea and I’s latest favorite song. She’s got an incredible voice.
MacBook Pro Woes
The keyboard and trackpad on my 15 inch MacBook Pro has been going in and out for the last month or so now. Originally I was thinking it was an issue with Leopard, as some people have been having the same issue after upgrading to Leopard. But I figured it had to be a hardware issue because when I plug in a mouse or keyboard, it works fine. Same thing when I use a wireless keyboard and mouse. Continue reading MacBook Pro Woes
